I'm talking about the environment/toolset alone, and I think most sane people would agree that there's no competition in that department, lol!Īll I'm saying is. Keep in mind, I'm not even talking about the merits of one lanugage or another, that's a completely different topic. I'd lose some productivity intially due to the learning curve, but I'll have another language and toolset under my belt, and I'll be able to harness the best toolset available, which can only increase my productivity in the long term (and not even that long term as you start seeing benefits right away). If Visual Studio was the pain in the arse that MD is and the alternative was some uber-powerful environment, I would switch in a heartbeat, even if it meant learning a new language. It's either live with it (in which case you're choosing to live with something that you constantly complain about being god-awful) or switch to the alternative that doesn't have those issues.
